About Quiet Ridge Haven備考

Quiet Ridge Haven was founded in Higashiosaka in 2014 by Kenji Matsumoto, who had spent the previous eight years as a destination specialist at a large Osaka-based tour operator. He left in the spring of 2013 after one trip too many where a client called him from a hotel lobby in Rome, confused and without a local contact, because the agency's after-hours line had gone to voicemail. He spent a year building the systems. The 24/7 LINE channel, the vetted hotel list, the visa document checklist. Before opening the office on Kawamata in early 2014.

The first two years were mostly word of mouth. A honeymoon couple from Namba referred their colleagues. A small manufacturing firm in Kadoma booked a company trip to Vietnam and came back the following year with a larger group. By 2017, Quiet Ridge Haven had a second planner on staff and had added Europe to the destination list, which required building a relationship with a ground operator in Paris who could handle the pace and communication style Japanese travellers expect. That relationship is still in place today.

If a trip does not suit a client, we will say so rather than book it anyway.

The office is small by design. There are four full-time staff and one part-time visa specialist who joins for Schengen and Taiwan applications. Kenji Matsumoto still takes the first call on every new honeymoon enquiry. The agency does not try to be everything to everyone: the destination list is deliberately short, the hotel partners are reviewed every two years, and the pricing is published without the asterisks. If a trip does not suit a client, the team will say so rather than book it anyway.

What every Quiet Ridge Haven trip includes

All-inclusive pricing

The price you see covers the return flight, hotel, and travel insurance. Visa fees and optional excursions are listed separately, clearly, before you decide.

Japanese-language support, 24/7

Our staff are reachable by phone and LINE at any hour. If something goes wrong at 2 a.m. In Bangkok or Lisbon, you call us directly. Not a call centre.

Visa assistance included

We prepare and review your visa documents for destinations that require them: Schengen, Taiwan, and others. We do not guarantee approval, but we have a strong track record.

Applying for a Schengen visa from Japan: a practical guide

The Schengen visa is the document that allows Japanese passport holders to travel freely across 27 European countries on a single entry. The application process is not complicated, but it has specific requirements that catch first-time applicants off guard. This guide covers what you need, when to apply, and what happens if the consulate asks for more information.

Bali: Ubud or Seminyak, and why the answer is usually both

Most first-time visitors to Bali arrive with a vague sense that they should choose between the cultural interior and the beach south. The honest answer is that a 6-night trip has enough time for both, and the contrast between the two areas is part of what makes Bali work as a destination. Here is how to think about the split.

Flying to Hawaii from Kansai International: routes, timing, and what to expect

Hawaii is one of the most popular overseas destinations for travellers from the Kansai region, and Kansai International has good routing options. The choice between a direct flight and a one-stop connection is not always obvious, and the right answer depends on your travel dates, your budget, and how you feel about long flights.

FAQ

Common questions

Q01

Are the prices really all-inclusive? What is not covered?

The published price covers the return flight from Kansai International, hotel accommodation, and travel insurance. It does not cover meals unless the package specifically says so, optional excursions, personal spending, or visa fees. Visa fees are listed separately on every package page before you enquire.

Q02

How does the 24/7 support actually work?

We have a dedicated LINE channel and a direct phone number that routes to a Japanese-speaking staff member at all hours. During business hours, that is usually Kenji Matsumoto or one of our two senior planners. Outside business hours, calls route to a duty planner. We do not use a third-party call centre.

Q03

Can I book a trip for just two people, or is there a minimum group size?

Most of our packages are available for two people. Some scheduled group departures have a minimum of four, but we always have individual and couple options. Honeymoon packages are designed for two by default.
